Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arusha → Tarangire National Park
Main Activities: Game drive
Description: ick up from Arusha in the morning and drive straight to Tarangire National Park. Known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants, the park is home to lions, leopards, giraffes, and zebras along the Tarangire River. Spend the day driving through the park watching wildlife gather around the water sources before heading to your lodge for dinner and a rest.
Tarangire → Lake Manyara National Park
Main Activities:Game drive in Lake Manyara, transfer to Karatu
Description: Head to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its dense groundwater forest and broad alkaline lake. Watch for baboon troops near the park entrance, tree-climbing lions in the woodlands, and flocks of flamingos along the shore. In the late afternoon, drive up the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Central Serengeti National Park
Main Activities:Afternoon game drive in Seronera
Description: Leave Karatu early and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti. Stop briefly at the crater viewpoint for photos before dropping down onto the open plains. Enter the Central Serengeti (Seronera) and spend the afternoon searching for big cats resting on granite kopjes before heading to your camp for dinner under the stars.
Central Serengeti National Park
Main Activities: Full-day game drive
Description: Spend the entire day exploring the Seronera River Valley, one of the richest wildlife areas in the park. Your guide will track lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hippos along the river banks while watching herds of wildebeest and zebras graze. Enjoy a packed lunch at a designated picnic spot out in the bush and keep driving until late afternoon.
Central Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater
Main Activities: Morning game drive in Serengeti, transfer to Karatu
Description: Head out early in the morning to catch predators while the temperature is still cool. After breakfast back at camp, pack up and begin driving back toward Ngorongoro with game viewing along the way. Arrive in Karatu or near the crater rim by late afternoon to relax and get ready for the crater drive the next morning.
Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha
Main Activities: Morning crater floor game drive, transfer to Arusha
Description: Wake up early and drive down the steep road to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater. Spend the morning searching for black rhinos, large prides of lions, hyenas, and big elephant bulls around the open plains and Lake Magadi. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, drive up out of the crater and head back to Arusha, arriving by late afternoon.
